It is the moral duty of any government to protect the identity and rights of its own people but sadly the governments which we have been electing since liberation till now, not just miserably failed to protect our rights but even went to the extent of selling our precious rights to create personal political vote banks.
The Congress ruined and looted Goa in the past and we all supported the anti-Congress forces in the last assembly elections to get rid of the most corrupt Congress so that what little naturally beautiful remained could be preserved for our generations who are yet to see the light of this world. We all Goans had high hopes on Manohar Parrikar, but sadly people like me were totally wrong in our judgment.
Manohar Parrikar was lifted to Delhi so that what little beautiful was remaining in Goa can be identified for the central government and the same could be forcibly grabbed away from the hands of helpless Goans by the centre and that is exactly what they are doing.
Goa was known to the world for its natural green beauty and peace loving people. The once beautiful virgin beaches of Goa which once captured the hearts and minds of nature loving people been miserably raped and the rape still continues. They razed the sand dunes to make way for starred hotels and now they speak about saving the coastline. They sold our precious land, hills, rivers, fertile fields and now attempts are been made to murder our language Konkani. Even in sports they are using Goa’s name as a brand name. There is no love and respect remaining in the hearts of power hungry politicians for the environment and when some good citizens stands for the environment, Goa’s ugly politicians term them as culprits and some one of them even gets disappeared. I see a “Doobta Goa”(drowning Goa)in my once “Udtta Goa”.
Migrants in Goa can vote in two states. It is not a issue at all but Goans who have registered their names for Portuguese passports cannot. Our politicians are all out for the migrants and shortly migrants will decide the future of Goa. Let us not allow this to happen. We all slept very well. Now let us wake up with a fresh and daring mind. Let us stand united against the injustice towards our mai Goa and our fellow Goans. Let us not allow Tiracol and Mopa to go out of our hands. Let us stand united against the evil who is all out to finish Goa and Goemkarponn. Together we can do it, so let us do it.Let us bring this revolution on the ground.
