From our innermost being we know that the Creator has in his boundless love, endowed man amply enough to achieve all greatness in any walk of life he chooses. So, success should have been man’s habit. But sadly, however, we find millions upon millions suffering, in their disorganized life, the agonies of failures.
We see in our modern times, for every successful man, hundreds who are disappointed, dejected and broken down. People get themselves crushed in the competition of the modern material world and its market-place. This is despite all the spiritual literature of the world unanimously declaring that this need not be the tragedy of the human race, if the individual members know the art of diligently using their own abilities and efficiencies.
All scriptures and psychological studies emphatically indicate that man is essentially perfect, and therefore infinite are the possibilities that lie lurking in him. We are required to realize that we have within ourselves all the resources, ability, energy and power for building up a supremely successful life for ourselves and for others in the world. There is one great and covetable gift, particularly, which is distinctly ours at all times, and this is our profound capacity to discover, develop and usefully employ the Infinite Power in us.
Accordingly, a life organized for the discovery of the potentialities already existing within ourselves, and the ordering of our behavior so as to nurture and nourish them, is a life well spent. Our success depends upon the amount of transformation we can successfully bring about in our personality and character. What matters is not how many talents each one of us has, but how much of our existing talents we can explore, develop and exploit. Even if one has many talents, he can still be a miserable failure. Only that person can be successful, who makes a practical use of at least one great talent that he has.
As both our present and future mainly depends upon ourselves, we must not look outside ourselves for help. So also, we should not have the delusion that the influence of others would enable us to do better and accomplish more. Every success of ours indeed entirely depends upon ourselves, which we should always hold firmly in mind. What we regularly encourage and consistently cultivate in our mind determines our character and ultimately our destiny.
Our today’s screaming, misguided world, where men are suffering from their own inner insufficiencies, needs the light of Religion more than any time in human history. Sadly, though our generation has easy access to the all the wisdom to heal us, child-like, we fail to live up to its saner dictates. Religion does not attempt to improve the conditions of the world to enable people gain freedom from all wants and needs enjoying thus a higher standard of living. Religion teaches us the way to live fully. This analysis is the secret contents of all the sacred text books, whether it belongs to the Hindus, Muslims, Christians or other religions in the world.
