India has best hospitals with very good facilities with world class equipments and enviable infrastructure, however these are only some of the essential requirements. An inescapable requirement is humanization of the care concern – cure process. Most hospitals in India treat disease not the patient. Hospitals need to exhibit sincere concern for patients. Constant counseling and discussions on choice of treatment is utmost importance, any deficiency here could lead to legal hassle.
Most hospitals start with the good intention of service to society but over a period of time, these hospitals turn into money making establishments that are run like business enterprises where patients take a back seat.
