Heartfelt joy when I read your article titled “Missionaries with a difference” on the missionary work of Christian swamis in the region of Belgaum. The work of evangelizing done by the Jesuits in a more subtle manner, eradicates the cultural barrier that every Christian missionary encounters while spreading the faith in non-Christian human environment.
Christian missionaries all over the world especially in India should try to adopt such method of evangelizing to the masses which is more adaptable to them without tempering with the Sacred teachings of the Church.
As Pope St John Paul II calls for a “New Evangelization”, Missionaries such as these must be encouraged by the Church and not looked down upon since they might help in reducing the persecution of Christian missionaries sent to an human environment alien to the teachings of the Church.
