How often we have seen a incident purposely planned to initiate a discussion on the topic? Ghar vapsi (re-conversion) is a recent event done by some extremists in which around 300 people were taken for a program promoted through media as a re-conversion of Muslim families to Hinduism in the pretext of helping via Aadhar and BPL cards. Leaving aside this small incident we need to look at the hidden agenda.
Here anti-conversion law was the motive. By igniting the discussion on the topic a effort has been made to make people think that anti- conversion law is the need of the hour. Hidden agenda of right wing organizations is to stop conversions done by individuals who feel inclined towards adopting new ways of life and religion. So bringing a law to prevent people from adopting belief systems that appeals to them is nothing but dictatorial and against the constitution. People who desire to change their faith may have many reasons to do so.
So before bringing any anti-law (as done in many states right now) the basic right to follow any religion must be followed.
