Reclaim Sonssodo

Revelers of Holi and Carnival, at some stage will cry ‘puro’ (enough!) to too much colour poured on them. Isn’t it the same with Sonssodo? Any student of Class VIII would tell the authorities that Sonssodo cannot afford any more waste dumping. It should be cleaned up and reclaimed. This is in the interest of all Goans as we do not have knowledge of underground waterways which could carry toxic leechate across Goa. Depending on its concentration, it would have effects on different regions in the State. The present garbage should be moved to an impervious location for treatment. Soil samples should be collected and subjected to complete testing for cleanliness (no toxins, unwanted microflora, etc). Where required, the soil should be cleaned. It is a simple practical process and we have Goans who would not charge astronomical amounts.  What has happened to the experts who went on the European garbage tour?
