Disaster, misfortune, setback, upheaval, unrest, trial, affliction, injury, adversity, sad event, serious accident, shock, pain, sorrow, misery, distress, sadness, disappointment etc. the list goes on is the creation of our political rulers.
Earthly natural disasters resulting in tragedies cannot be controlled or averted by the weak humans. The capable ones are exploiting the weakness of Government bureaucrats with their money power. In one way or other, we are presently facing an onslaught of tragedies. We will and are going to expect more tragedies which can be avoided if everyone has a caring intention towards what they aim to do.
A few months back a Pontoon at Arrosim beach after running aground started destroying the beach. If ignored and action to remove is not taken, overtime due to the process of deposition can gather sediments around the structure and possibility of formation an island. Also, other technics can be devised for the same by the culprits to their benefit. Another incident of sinking of a cruise liner at Mormugoa port polluted the shore-line creating disaster for the fisher folks. Most important did the concerned authorities investigate and check the storage of the ship hull, what it contained and carried?
Unwanted multiple bridges are being constructed parallel to one another. The existing bridges columns and in addition new ones which would definitely affect the tidal and monsoon flow. Such unworthy wonders are of rare nature. In time to come it would be extremely difficult to reverse or rectify such drastic planning.
Post-liberation we had two political factions, very few thrived for the betterment of the state and thereafter every successive Government had their own agenda on how to exploit, exceed, ill will competency for ego and greed which divided us. Goa is fragmented among so many parties some lean for outsiders support instead of uniting, understanding each other and defend, our state cannot be ravaged more and overdeveloped. Available natural resources have been overutilized, land taken by central ministries and now the inland rivers are being nationalized. Can anyone trust the present ministers, MLAs, all lies and if current dispensation gets another term most of us will have to become vagabonds? Unjustified FIR against non-provocative individual or groups is a forced confinement and inhumane act where freedom and expression of good ideas are contained.
Reckless steps taken by the Government in all the fields of development are bound to face tragic recourse. Shortage of consumables and dependence on imports is self-destruction besides prices of all items is on uptrend, new GST, unaffordability is being experienced. Unless we stop unnecessary development, control the influx of migrants, greed of every new political party and politicians will be tragic for this tiny state to handle. It is being overdone and people are aware, discard the attitude of living and let live which has reached to an extreme. Enough of everything, the state can sustain economically with the existing wealth.
