Therefore, wonderers on road, strolling walkers on road and gentleman of the road should be on their guard because vehicles are driven by bloody eyed drunkards with luscious liquor in their stomach; two-wheelers are driven by young romantic Jacks with loving Jill in their heart and buses are steered by racing chauffeurs with day’s earnings in their mind.
Drunk drivers run their vehicles and cause death of pedestrians transporting their spirits to the bright kingdom of heaven or to the bottomless pit of hell where the souls live forever. It is all because their intoxicated eyes start playing tricks by not making any difference between pedestrians and the road. Pedestrians should be on the guard because some of our young two-wheeler riders are hot-blooded Jacks carrying Jill on their scooter who rests her head on his shoulder to enjoy a fertile dream.
Pedestrians or the strolling crowd should be cautious while walking on motorway because our buses run races at break–neck speed to pick more and more masses standing at bus stops. It looks as if a ‘goonda’ is after their neck, or, they, after the ‘goonda’ to break ‘goonda’s’ neck. But sad to say, in the bargain they break the pedestrian’s neck. So, pedestrians should be on their guard.
Everyone believes that the accused should be punished, but the police rarely do so. Perhaps, this is because our constabulary stick to the antithesis — ‘to err is human, to forgive divine’. .But according to many, forgiveness for a person is like giving him a second chance to commit the same thing over again therefore, we often see the public taking law in their hand to thrash the accused.
Accidents take place because many of our drivers possess a bribed driving licence and therefore do not maintain traffic discipline. Anna Hazare professed ideas of cleansing corruption from our society. Some of his ideas were good, I think; but none of his ideas have materialized. Corruption grows like cancer. The cops should not be blamed for that. They are compelled to do so, as they have to recover the bribe they paid to the politicians to get themselves employed as traffic police and the politicians take the carrot for they see that as the shortest way to become rich. Therefore, pedestrians get knocked down and become victims of corruption.
