He is known for his sharp tongue and makes a great show of his elite position as the head of the RSS brigade to try and force his views on other people, especially the illiterate. His choice of words and adjectives are apart from other gentle human beings and great leaders. He reminds us more of Hitler and just like the Nazi-Boss, thinks that every word that he speaks is like a Greek Oracle, and is supposed to be sacred.
Dear Sir, the world has changed a lot ever since the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by a bullet fired from Nathuram Ghodse’s gun on that fateful day in October 1948. A recent attempt to brand Ghodse as a patriot and give him a National Award backfired on the RSS. But in a vast and free democracy like ours there is always scope for differences of opinion. But to call Mother Theresa’s motives as selfish is ridiculous. Mother Theresa has houses (branches of her Sisters of Charity) all over the world and without exception she is loved and appreciated in Asia, Europe, Africa, South and North America in our country and all over the world. They say that a prophet may often remain unrecognized in his own country. How true it is in this case. She had nothing to gain from giving her life for the poor, sick, unwanted, lonely, hungry and suffering people of the world. She left her native country in Europe to come to India at an early age and gave up her normal life to work in the slums and gutters of Calcutta. She brought peace, happiness, brotherhood by sacrificing her life for other less fortunate children of God.
Dear Mohan Bhagwat, these are facts and not my imagination as it in your case, where you state that Mother Theresa was selfish. She is an example of humility and sacrifice personified with her totally unselfish behavior during all her earthly life. She is not a half politician and half God-man as some may think. She is a simple Simon. Having dealt with her personally, I can say this with great confidence. I was posted in Nagaland as Colonel in Charge Administration when she visited in 1984 and I asked Bishop Abraham Alangmathathil to include a civic reception at Zakhama (Army Divisional Headquarters) about 15 Kilometers from Kohima on one evening. He said it was impossible as she had a jam packed programme . Mother Theresa was told about my request and at the end, Bishop added of his own accord. I don’t think you can accept and so she said “No”. Then immediately she said, “Bishop, please tell me that name again”. The Bishop repeated my request. She said, “Bishop I will go anywhere this family will want me to go!” She does not forget those she worked with or whom she worked for. All those who worked with her closely testify, that, not once did she ask even one person to convert to Christianity. Mohan Bhagwat may have heard it from one of the parrots (chamchas) surrounding him. He himself never got even a yard close to Mother Theresa. Please be compassionate sir, you are only tarnishing your own image. Mother Theresa belongs to the whole world. God bless you.
