A visit to meet Wagh in Mumbai

Last week I was in Mumbai with many priorities to fulfill including, visiting my ailing MLA, Vishnu Surya Wagh whom you’ll know suffered a major heart attack in August and was sent from the GMC, Bambolim to the Hinduja Hospital, Andheri where the condition on his life was swiftly stabilized by the doctors there.
Since the time Vishnu Wagh was admitted; there has been a series of speculations and false rumours floating around various circles in the state about his condition. As a Goan and resident of St. Andre, I prayed for his fast recovery and continued to respect the privacy of his family during this difficult time.
I then decided as his constituent, to visit him and inquire of his health and bring out the news to people who are eagerly anticipating a report of his health and want to see him return home soon.
In Mumbai I was told he was referred to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in West Andheri where the superior team of Doctors and nurses are working round the clock for his complete recovery and medical safety.
From what I had seen, his situation is complex; He is able to make slight movements but due to the medication he feels pain when trying to talk and move.
I held his hand and spoke to him giving a feeling of assurance saying, he is being missed a lot and to return home soon. Having difficulties in trying to speak, he looked at me and gave me his brightest smile.
Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital is a medical research institute and multi-specialty hospital. The management seeks to ensure the privacy of the patient, their condition and complete recovery.
After visiting and personally meeting him, I can assure the people of the Goa and the constituents of St. Andre that Vishnu Wagh is out of danger but since a lot of precaution at this stage is required on his health; it is expected that he will make a slow recovery.
