Certainly this could not have happened without the help of an insider. Corruption is so deep routed in all government sections that these corrupt government employees do not realise how they are risking country’s security to achieve their selfish gains.
With so much of hard work, these SIMI terrorists were nabbed, tried in court of law and were sentenced accordingly and today they managed to escape from a tight central jail security. It is really shameful to see the kind of administration and security being maintained in such kind of highly sensitive Central Jail. It is highly irresponsible and shameful on the part of jail officials because this seems to be a second jail break involving 5 of them. They must answer why there was a systematic internal intelligence failure and security lapse allowed to happen in such a sensitive Central Jail. Why have they not learnt lessons from earlier incidents? This time around nobody should be spared including the top boss of the concerned jail and even hold the concerned minister responsible. If possible, ask our Income Tax department to probe their income and assets. It is all happening for greed and money and corruption do happens in jails also. Restricted things go inside the jail and those who can afford to bribe enjoy better life in the jail. This type of corruption should be stopped by clear monitoring system in place.
I am so angry and hence my appeal to MP Government is that they must carry out thorough probe, see their system of handling daily visitors to jail-mates, who are the guards taking bribes from visitors, etc. and punish them. One terrorist let go free cost us heavily — for instance see the example of Azhar Mahmood. Once freed from jail, he is now playing havoc in J & K and on LoC and getting our soldiers killed almost daily.
