But what we see in reality is all, U-turns, raking issues of non-issues and controversies after controversies. Who is caught at the cross roads is the aam aadmi whom they promised to serve at the election time.
First of all, the issue of MoI is still boiling hot without any foreseeable future and an amicable outcome. The common people are held at ransom by a handful of hypocrites who came to seek our votes as sheep, but they are indeed ravenous wolves. They want to decide what is good and bad for us and our children, not knowing that their good will be the worst.
Another issue of non-issue is about the humble and all-important coconut tree which adorns Goa and is enjoyed from its top to the bottom by all and sundry. Now to meet their selfish ulterior motives after decades and centuries they want to re-classify it as a palm and not a tree. Why did it take so many centuries to realize this difference. And why is this new classification? It is just to make way for a distillery in Sanguem sacrificing more than half a thousand trees which is and was the only wealth of the affected people. From our ancestors the coconut tree was revered like a son/daughter in the yesteryears and felling it was akin to killing your own son/daughter .
The creation of the Investment Promotion Board, a brain child of our astute politician is just a ploy and excuse to exercise their power as, when and how to act in the most selfish and in humane way to finish the topography of Goa along with the Niz Goenkars , and in the long run to carve a Vishal Gomantak, thus fulfilling their dream. Besides these issues, there are issues after issues in Goa which the Government should tackle prudently taking all the people at stake into confidence and not only a handful and privileged pawns affiliated to the ruling majority.
A good governance will happen only when government gives an equal and unbiased platform to express their views for all and take the decisions for the good of all.
