Whichever way we look at it secular India, India secular is what flows in the blood of Indians. Everybody is free to follow his dream, and this has been the scenario for a millennia. As human nature is flawed, the dark core of Indian consciousness is the caste system which is an evil virus embedded deep in the body of India and Indians, and invented by the Vedic Brahmins who injected a strong venom which is still with us after an amazingly long history.
A great injustice on the level of skin discrimination which we have witnessed in our time is in South Africa as apartheid, and further back, the USA with the history of slavery. Adolf Hitler with his crazy and warped ideology of Superman which included the idea of the extermination of the Jews still leaves Europe in shock.
The BJP should renounce the caste system so the dream of all Indians to be really and truly free will be a reality. Simply getting rid of the British does not make us fully free. The Brahmin priests should also do so as Hinduism will not disappear if the evil of caste dies. No educated person today in India believes people are poor because of the evil deeds they have supposedly done in their past lives. If there are any politicians who indeed believe it to be true they need to express themselves today. It indeed will be a day to remember and celebrate otherwise all life in India will be sacred except human life. And, the cow will appear as a god and a human being his servant who can be extinguished anytime without any human feeling. Is evolution a matter of attaining cow consciousness?
Ideologues need to realize the great damage ideology does to intelligence as is apparent in the words of our finance minister who appears to think that any difference of opinion is politically motivated as he accuses artists, musicians, film makers, and intellectuals of banding together as though they are a singular group with the same fixed agenda as is the case with a political party. Laughable.
Ideology makes people lose their intelligence as they have reached a conclusion and have no more doubts or the need to reflect on issues or inquiry into reality. How sad it is to see intelligent people, our Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Dr Swamy Subramanian, to name a few, lose their intelligence in full view of the public gaze. A great tragedy with some comedy which only bring tears to the eyes of the educated public.
Our leaders have become a bunch of rancid pickles, as inevitably is the fate of the ideologue. The next stage in this spiral of insanity is violence which intellectuals all over India fear is on the verge of happening and desperately want to stop it before the map of our country is colored red. It is the angst of the day. May, India, our country remain green or even grey but not red.
