Star Liars

In this world there are persons who shine like stars in telling lies. They use their tongues in twisting the truth with misleading statements and create a false impression in the mind of others. I have come across different type of lies which I place before the gentle readers here below:
Good lies are harmless and especially told to make people feel nicer than they would, if they were given the plain truth. For example, one may declare that a meal was superb, when it really was not.
Bad lies, benefits the liar, but harm the victim; because the liar is selfish as they tell lies to get their own way without showing any concern for others feelings. For example, an employee tells the employer, “I can’t come to work for a few days because I’m sick.” (Here the liar wishes to sit at home or rest on bed to avoid office work due to laziness).
Jealous lies are those which are planned on purpose to position oneself in a better light or to put someone else down. Such lies originate in jealous hearts because they cannot see the success of others. Jealous people are like live crabs in a closed bin that pull other crabs down who try to climb out of the basket. Many behave like crabs in the office and even in the family, pulling others down. In the Bible, Joseph’s own brothers were jealous of him that they banished him and sold him into slavery (Genesis 37).
During elections, politicians shower empty lies, assuring us the sun, the moon and all the stars; if, and only if, we vote for them. We know, and they know, that after our vote, we are not going to see them, till the next election, and we are never going to get all those goodies they promised us. These promises of politicians are empty lies.
Lies of Exaggeration sometimes caused due to enmity and are produced by mixing truths and untruths to mislead others, e.g. someone spreads a rumour that someone’s parents are criminal or a married person is moving with his/her old lover
The deceptive lies are those used by downright cheaters, double-dealer or trickster. Here is an often told story. A baker bought a pound of butter from a farmer and took the farmer to Court because the butter weighed less than a pound. The judge asked an explanation from the farmer who said, “I had bought a pound-loaf of bread from this baker which I placed on one side of my scale to match it with the butter on the other side. So, if the butter falls short of a pound it is the baker who has cheated me.’
Occasional liars are those who seldom tell a lie. ‘When they do, their guilt strongly upsets them. So, they are quick to ask forgiveness from the individual that they lied to’.
Habitual Liars are those, who having been telling lies from childhood. ‘First, they started telling lies to their parents to avoid punishments and then perfected this skill on growing up.’
Liars always fear that if the truth of their lies is found, the consequences on them may be great. This motivates liars to hide the truth. But I think that lies come back to haunt the liar which can be life-destroying, due to guilt.
