When should one rise against Authority

Authority is a power that controls people. According to many there are three instances when a civilised man can rise against authority.

Firstly, when authorities’ behaviour or his requests, are immoral, then an individual should rise against such authority. Yes, if the authority utters obscene words or suggest immoral action or makes lustful gestures or exhibits objects which depraves and corrupts the mind, then one should bravely defy authority.
Secondly, when authority’s demands are against the nation, everyone has the right to take the necessary steps to change the government.
In the Bible, Romans 13:1-2 we read about obedience to authorities: “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore, he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.”
But these lines are often misunderstood. Many interpret this to mean that we should offer unquestioning obedience to government, even if it’s evil and corrupt. Such an understanding is absolutely wrong. Any one may ask. Are we to obey a government that becomes a terror in itself, committing heinous crimes before our very eyes? God is speaking about Honest government in Romans 13 and not a bad rule. Citizens should not shrug their shoulders and resign themselves to live with corruption.
Thirdly, when the order of authority is against the institution one serves, e.g. in the institution of education, if some supervisor in an examination hall looks up at the ceiling and not down at the student copying; looks out of the window admiring nature, and not inside the examination hall to detect copies of students. Such authority does injustice to brilliant students and wrecks and ruins education. Therefore, supervisors should remove the copy from the sly eye of copycat.
If, a police inspector orders his subordinates, not to have a grinding inquiry, of locals who regularly rob, kill and molest because they have good contacts with politicians; such instructions should not be obeyed because ‘goondagiri’ is emboldened when investigation is easy going.
When orders are against the institution of marriage to which one belongs, e.g. when daughter-in-law and mother-in-law fight for ‘Power in the house’; and the ‘Control of one person’, I mean, the humble husband; a silent son, a responsible husband should know his duty which is clearly mentioned in the Bible:“…a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh…. what God has joined together, let man not separate.” (Mt. 19:3-6); (Eph. 5:31).
In today’s society, many marriages have collapsed due to dominating mama and mama’s boy; because, the greatest influence in the child’s life is that of the mother. She has the ability to do with him almost whatever she pleases. So, many mothers control their son as though he is a puppet on a string. Therefore, many marriages collapse. Therefore, mama’s boy should obey the Bible and not mama. Husbands should disobey’ the meddlesome group —‘his mother, his sisters, his brothers and his legion of uncles and aunts, who dominate his life. Any meddling troop is like the volcanic lava that destroys whatever comes its way.
But alas! Many people do not rise against authority when they face such above mentioned situations, and therefore, evil shines in this naughty world.
