A democratic country we call our India, where all religions, castes and creed have no differences because we have lived by the rule of humanity for decades together. The picture of India that is painted for the world to see is the opposite of the actual scenario.
Let me start with the leaders presently leading the country. It is such a shame when we are living in the 21st century where we have chosen leaders from another age to govern us. A country with the best engineers and doctors is governed by leaders who have no clue what they are doing. A country where a rapist can go scot free but someone who trades beef is lynched, are we even safe in our own country?
Thousands of children do not have proper education, clean water and no roof over their heads to rest, where the country is still struggling to minimise poverty just to realise that our political system decided to build a statue of Rs 3000 crore. Was this the day we were expecting to wake up to realise that our hard earned money is wasted on a statue by a government that has continuously ripped off the common man by implementing taxes which are not justifiable?
Taxes are applied to daily necessities like medicines and food. Are we really waiting for extreme damage to be done where survival will have a slim chance at this rate?
Where is the “Aache Din” that was promised? If these are the better days we can clearly see where our future is going. The world is laughing at the government for depriving the citizens of Rs 3000 crore worth of benefits in the form of support to farmers and ones who really deserve it. Since the government has taken over we have only experienced threats to minorities and seen living costs escalating. Demonetization was clearly a move made to mislead the people so that business giants could benefit and of course the ruling party. Some leaders of the governing party are threatening the minorities to leave the country or convert to Hinduism, what has been done about this? Does the government really think that the common man will forget all these atrocities?
The CM in Goa had promised to get rid of casinos, Goans had objected to the additional airport at Mopa but the government did not listen to the people. Is there any democracy left? The government has only managed to torture the people to pay taxes with their blood. We don’t want a government that cannot empathise with the challenges faced by the common community. We as citizens of a democratic country will extract the true meaning of democracy in the upcoming elections by handing power to leaders who are trustworthy and will be there for the people. We will stand by our Constitutional rights to make India peaceful and stable again.
