India criticized Pakistan during the seventh meeting of the 58th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, labeling it a failed state dependent on international assistance. Kshitij Tyagi, representing the Permanent Mission of India to the UN in Geneva, remarked that it was not surprising that Pakistan’s leaders continued to propagate falsehoods stemming from their military-terrorist nexus.
“It is regrettable to witness the leaders and representatives of Pakistan perpetuating untruths derived from its military-terrorist complex. Pakistan is trivializing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation by using it as a platform for its rhetoric. It is unfortunate that this Council’s time is squandered by a failed state that thrives on instability and relies on foreign aid,” stated Kshitij Tyagi. Reiterating India’s position, Tyagi asserted that Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, will forever be an inseparable part of India, highlighting the advancements made in these areas.

“The Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India. The remarkable political, social, and economic progress in J&K over recent years is evident. These achievements reflect the people’s confidence in the government’s dedication to restoring normalcy in a region affected by decades of terrorism sponsored by Pakistan,” Tyagi emphasized.
He further noted that Pakistan should move beyond its detrimental fixation on India and focus on the challenges that impact its own citizens. “India remains committed to democracy, progress, and ensuring dignity for its populace—values that Pakistan would benefit from adopting,” he remarked. Tyagi’s statements followed those of India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, who on February 19 reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is and will always be an integral part of India, while firmly denouncing Pakistan’s disinformation efforts.
