All eight accused arrested in the alleged Ram Temple donation embezzlement case have been sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a court in Ayodhya on Monday. The accused were produced before the Special Judge of the Anti-Corruption Court via video conferencing after the expiry of their previous judicial custody.
Special Prosecution Officer Umesh Dubey said the investigating agency did not seek police custody of any of the accused during the hearing. The court subsequently ordered that all eight remain in judicial custody for the next 14 days as the investigation continues.

ACCUSED PRODUCED THROUGH VIDEO CONFERENCING
The accused had earlier been remanded to three days of judicial custody until June 29 by a special remand magistrate following their arrest in connection with the alleged misuse of donation funds collected at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
During Monday’s hearing, they appeared before Special Judge Rajat Verma through video conferencing. Since the prosecution did not request further custodial interrogation, the court extended their judicial custody instead.
The case has drawn significant public attention due to the alleged embezzlement of donations made by devotees at one of the country’s most prominent religious sites. Investigators are continuing to examine the financial transactions and the alleged role of each accused in the case.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the ongoing probe, but the judicial custody extension is expected to provide investigators more time to analyse evidence and complete the investigation.
