Crime Branch officials seized 10.754 kg of suspected ganja, estimated to be worth around ₹10.5 lakh, during a raid at the Interstate Bus Terminal in Mapusa on September 25.
Police arrested 24-year-old Gokula Jena, a native of Odisha, in connection with the seizure, while a 17-year-old juvenile was detained.

According to police, the suspected ganja was concealed inside a shoulder bag and a hand trolley at the bus terminal. Officials also alleged that Jena had used the juvenile in connection with carrying or supplying the narcotic substance.
The seizure was made during a Crime Branch operation at the busy interstate transport hub. The suspected contraband was subsequently seized by the officials as part of the investigation.
Police are continuing their inquiry into the source of the suspected ganja and its intended destination, while further details regarding the alleged supply network are awaited.
