PANJIM: A two-wheeler rider died in a hit-and-run case that occurred at Caranzalem, at about 1.30 am Saturday.
Panjim police said the driver of the unidentified vehicle that rammed into Alexander Rodrigues’ scooter fled from the spot after the accident.
“The victim, in his 50s, was going home to Taleigao when the accident occurred. Rodrigues died while the 108 Ambulance was ferrying him to the Goa Medical College hospital,” said a police sub-inspector.
The police are clueless about the vehicle involved in the accident as ‘there are neither any trace marks at the crime spot nor are there any eye witnesses.’
