MARGAO: Fatorda police on Friday arrested two persons from Karnataka in connection with a theft case. Police disclosed names of arrested persons as Kiran Aiwale (32) of Nipaniand and Zarina Badami (30) of Dharwad, presently residing at Borda-Margao.

Police said that Sanjay Naik had lodged a complaint stating that near Sai Mandir, Gogal some unknown persons committed theft of Exide battery worth Rs 13,000 of Tata Tipper truck parked in open public place.
The stolen property along with 19 batteries have been recovered and an offence under Section 379 of IPC has been registered.
