VASCO: Two women namely 56-year-old Tara Kerkar, a resident of New Vaddem and 47-year-old Fatima Dourado, a resident of Chicalim, who were arrested on the charges of kidnapping an infant and wrongful restraining a woman, have been remanded to two days police custody.
Both have applied for bail the hearing of which will be held in the Children’s Court Panjim on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that Vasco police had said a 40-year-old woman from Vasco in her complaint stated that on Friday near Ganesh temple at New Vaddem, on the pretext of providing shelter to the complainant and her newborn, Kerkar brought them to her house and allegedly wrongfully restrained the complainant at her house.
