Vasco police on Friday arrested 20-year-old Jaffer Qadri, a native of UP, for kidnapping a 14-year-old minor girl from Dabolim. Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said that the incident occurred in the wee hours of 30th May and the father registered a complaint in the Vasco police station
” We registered the case under section 363 IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act and we started the investigation. We then realized that one Jaffer Mohammad Qadri had kidnapped the minor girl and we began the search operation and formed a team for investigation. With our technical assistance and reliable information, we realized that the accused was in Dahanu Mumbai and accordingly a team left for Mumbai with the assistance of their police station, we managed to carry out a search operation and nabbed the accused and we rescued the victim. We have got the accused to Vasco police station and placed him under arrest and further investigation is being carried out. After further medical examination of the victim, we will see if any other sections need to be applied in the case” said Nayak
