PANJIM: Revenue Minister Jennifer Monserrate on Monday said that about 200 government jobs were so far given to the deserving candidates by her departments.
Jennifer said that about 72 posts of field surveyors were filled by the Revenue Department while the Labour and Employment and the Information Technology (IT) Departments also filled vacant posts taking the tally to about 200.
Jennifer disclosed that the government is in the process of waiving off fees of conversion of land below 500 square metres of area. This decision will benefit poor section of people constructing single dwellings.
