PANJIM: The second phase of treatment on Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will start from Monday in the USA.
The Chief Minister’s office has informed that Parrikar, on Sunday, had a telephonic conversation with Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Dr Pramod Sawant.
The press release has mentioned that CM has taken an update of General and Administrative matters in Goa.
“He also informed the Speaker that he’s starting with second phase of treatment from tomorrow. He has also appealed the people of Goa not to believe in rumours about his health being spread by vested interests”, the release read.
Parrikar is suffering from a pancreatic ailment and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the USA, where he was admitted in the first week of March.
The chief minister took ill on February 14 following which he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. He was discharged from the Mumbai hospital on February 22.
After spending a couple of days at home, Parrikar was admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) after he complained of dehydration.
The CM stayed at the GMCH for four days and was again admitted to Lilavati Hospital on March 5, from where he was taken to the US.
