MARGAO: South Goa additional Sessions Judge Vandana Tendulkar on April 24 sentenced accused Suresh Chavan, 41 years a resident of New Vadem, Vasco for three years imprisonment for the death of his father.
The accused was held guilty by the Court for the offence of culpable homicide.
Accused Suresh had on August 5, 2111 noon in fit of anger stabbed his father Bhimsingh Chavan.
68 years with knife causing stab injuries to his chest in a flat at Alto Dabolim belonging to his younger brother Santosh for admonishing the accused for drinking habits. While public prosecutor Subhash Desai examined 16 witnesses the matter finally was argued by public prosecutor Bhanudas Gaonkar and public prosecutor Ladislau Fernandes advanced arguments on point of sentence before court.
