VASCO: Verna Police arrested four persons in connection with the alleged theft of gas underlaying plastic pipes worth Rs 7.5 lakh.
Verna Police said, “The manager of a private company lodged a complaint at the police station stating that prior to July 3, 2020 an unknown person committed a theft of gas underlaying plastic pipes worth Rs 7.5 lakh which were kept at the site near the MES College area at Zuarinagar.”

Verna Police registered FIR under Section 379 of IPC. Those arrested include Salman Ali (26), resident of Chandor, UP native Shivram Yadav (24), resident of Valpoi, Ubed Tabeeb (25), resident of Nessai, Sao Jose Areal and scrap dealer Abdul Quadri (35), resident of Nessai, Sao Jose Areal.
The police have attached two rickshaws used for transportation of stolen pipes, a grinding machine used for crushing stolen plastic pipes and 30 kg of crushed plastic.
