BICHOLIM: The Anti-Terrorism Squad arrested four Bangladesh nationals from Bordem, Bicholim.
The four persons are Anwar Akhon Abu Hassan (50), Hassan Chand Niyan (38), Noorjahan Begum Chand Niyan (34) and Raja Akhon (22), all originally from Uttar Rajapur, Post Rajapur Bazar, Bangladesh.
They will be brought to Foreigners Regional Registration Officers (FRRO) soon.
They were found possessing Indian Aadhaar cards and that is how they were moving around the country and residing in Goa. Anwar Akhon visits Bangladesh every two years while Hassan Chand Niyan visited his home country four years back.
The respective family resides in Bordem, Bicholim where there are 11 small rooms. All the occupants in these rooms are from outside Goa and their main occupation is collecting scrap.
The procedure to send these four back to their country will be carried out soon. Till then they will be kept under house arrest in the same rooms they reside in and will have to report to the police station every day.
