46 critical polling stations in South Goa

MARGAO: As the State of Goa goes for voting on February 14, the District Administration have identified 46 critical polling stations and 14 hamlets as vulnerable in South Goa, and hence police personnel will be keeping a close eye on these polling stations on the day of voting. 

As informed by Surendra Naik, Additional District Collector, South Goa Administration has prepared the list of critical polling stations and helmets as vulnerable in the district. 

Amongst the 46 critical polling stations, Cortalim and Curtorim have a maximum of nine each, followed by eight in Shiroda and seven in Ponda Constituency. 

Ponda constituency: The Govt Primary School, Karmale-Querim (Priol), Sports Authority of India Hostel, Curti-Ponda, Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, key village  Curti; Government Primary School, Varkhande-Ponda; Goa Vidyaprasark Mandal’s primary and pre-primary school, Khandpabandh-Ponda; Govt  Primary School, Durgabhat- Ponda, Govt  Primary School, Yeshwantnagar-Ponda. 

Shiroda constituency:  The Govt  Primary School, new building Padal-Betoda; Govt  Primary School, new building Padal-Betoda, Govt  Primary School, Galwada- Nirankal; Govt  Primary School, Khazordem-Borim; Govt  Primary School, Khazordem-Borim; Govt  Primary School, Bazar-Shiroda; Govt  Primary School, Vazangal-Shiroda and Govt  Primary School, Vizar-Panchawadi.

Mormugao constituency: Ameeniya High School, Baina,

Cortalim Constituency: Govt  Primary School, Zuarinagar; Govt  Primary school, Zuarinagar; Govt  HS, Zuarinagar; Govt  HS, Zuarinagar; Govt  Primary School, Zuarinagar (new building); Govt  Primary School, Arossim (room number 1), St Thomas HS, Cansualim. 

Curtorim constituency: Our Lady of Livrament School, Arlem; Manora Vikas Kendra, Govt Primary School, Gogol Housing Board; Govt  Primary School, Gogol Housing Board; Bhatikar Model High School, Gogol; Bhatikar Model HS, Gogol; Luis Alex Cardozo Secondary School, Housing Board, Gogol and Housing Board Office, Gogol. 

Margao constituency: Govt Primary School, Moti Dongor (east wing); Office of Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, South Zone-1, Calconda; Iqra English School, Sirvodem and Kare Law College, Pedda.

Navelim constituency:  out of six critical polling stations five itself are in Rumdamoll, Davorlim and one at Coldem Govt Veterinary Dispensary polling station. 

Cuncolim constituency:  only polling stations at Cuncolim Municipal Library at Moquim are listed in the list of critical polling stations.
