PANJIM: On Thursday, 49 patients who had been placed under quarantine tested negative for COVID-19. However, new four persons have been admitted in the isolation ward of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), while 18 contacts have been placed under government facility quarantine.
As per the bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), nine suspects are in GMC isolation, including the four who were admitted on Thursday.
Of the 178 samples sent for testing, reports of 49 have come negative, while 129 test reports are awaited.
Nineteen samples tested at the GMC virology lab reported negative. “With our lab working round the clock, we are conducting as many tests to keep Goa safe,” Health Minister Vishwajit Rane tweeted.
All seven COVID-19 patients have recovered. Three have been discharged and four are in quarantine.
At present 28 people have been quarantined at Margao Residency, 22 in Mayem Residency, 17 in Mapusa Residency and 11 in Old Goa facility.
