5 Carmona students drink ‘chilled water’, land in Hospicio

MARGAO: Five students of the Sacred Heart of Jesus School, Carmona landed in Hospicio as they complained of uneasiness after drinking “chilled water” in the school.
The students suffered Vasovagal syncope, which occurs due to a sudden drop in heart rate and blood pressure leading to fainting, often in reaction to a stressful trigger. 
It is learnt that the students reportedly fell ill after drinking “chilled water” in the school. The students were admitted to Hospicio. However, four students were discharged earlier, while the other was discharged in the evening.
