5 Congress MLAs to donate 30% of monthly salaries for next one year

All the five Congress MLAs will donate 30 per cent of their monthly salaries for next one year towards Chief Minister Relief Fund to fight COVID-19 pandemic. The decision was taken in response to the call given by Indian National Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cut down 30 per cent of the salaries and allowances of Members of Parliament. “In response to the decision by INC India president Sonia Gandhiji, for next one year 30 per cent salaries of all MLAs would go to Chief Minister Relief Fund for the fight against COVID-19,” Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat tweeted.  On Wednesday, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant had announced that all 30 BJP MLAs will contribute 30 per cent of their salaries, for next one year, to fight against Coronavirus outbreak.
