PANJIM: Names of 551 voters holding Portuguese nationality have been deleted from the electoral rolls after they ceased to be Indian nationals. This was done during the special summary revision held in 2016 ahead of the Assembly elections held in February, this year.
CEO Kunal said there have been rumors about the number of people holding Portuguese nationality, but the fact is that only 551 names have been deleted last year. “We have deleted the names as per data submitted by FRRO,” he said.
