Locals say that the nullah is severely polluted due to release of all kinds of waste into it; and some people are defecating in the nullah leading to mosquito breeding.
Two of the affected have been shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim. However the doctors at Bethki Health Centre say that the affected have not been tested positive for dengue.
