PANJIM: The Anjuna Police arrested six youth aged between 18 and 20 years for allegedly committing a robbery at a school in Arpora and for damaging property of another school at Duler, Mapusa.
Police have also recovered the stolen goods including two computer monitors, a CPU, DVR, inverter and one UPS.
The robbery took place between August 3 and 4 at St Joseph High School, Arpora.
The accused have been identified as Kiran Maharana (18) from Parra, Ronit Redkar (18), from Tivim, Vaibhav Jadhav (18), from Karaswada, Alvino Fernandes (18), from Arpora, Kaif Badigar (18), from Parra, and Kabir Pradhan (20), from Arpora.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that they were also involved in damaging the property of St Anthony School, Duler, Mapusa.
The Anjuna Police have registered an offence under sections 305, 331(3) and 331(4), read with, 3(5) of BNS.
The team was led by PI Anjuna Suraj H Gawas under the overall supervision of Mapusa SDPO Sandesh Chodankar and Superintendent of Police (SP), North Goa, Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
