PORVORIM: About 66 residents of Sangolda including former Sangolda sarpanch Dilip Kalangutkar and former president of Saligao BJP Mandal Bhansilal Naik joined BJP at a function at Saligao today.
Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister and Saligao MLA Dilip Parulekar said the residents of Saligao constituency are impressed with the development work undertaken by the State government and hence they joined the party.
“The membership drive is in full swing in Saligao constituency and as against the target of 15,000 members, so far we have enrolled 8,500 individuals as members of BJP,” he said.
