The industries include Cipla, Britacel Silicon ltd, Mack Ltd, TCPL packaging, Teva farm, Watson Farma and two others. The industries are located in Verna, Kundaim and Usgao industrial estates.
GSPCB chairman Jose Manuel Noronha said that the consent to operate under the two acts has been granted for expansion of existing units.
In another decision, the Board has decided to waive off the late fees for applying for consent under the Air and Water Acts to health care homes, smaller bakers and pathology labs till December 31, 2015.
“These are units which never applied for Consent to Operate and as per the National Green Tribunal order, all the units have to obtain the consent,” Noronha said.
He said that health care homes will also require authorization under bio-medical waste.
