VASCO: An estimated 400 people are reported to have enrolled themselves as members of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during a membership drive in Vasco on Wednesday evening.
Equipped with a table and two chairs, AAP members sat in front of the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) building, but their presence drew a number of onlookers. As soon as AAP members were seen seated with their banner and membership forms, a crowd gathered around the AAP members seeking details regarding membership to the party.
A number of people were seen with membership forms and the membership drive, which started at 4 pm, went on till 7 pm.
“The membership touched four hundred within three hours. The membership drive will continue on Thursday and we are hopeful of enrolling thousand members by Thursday evening,” Adv T T Shreedharan told Herald.
“The AAP is happy to see that many youngsters and other senior citizens are eager to join the party. The AAP in Goa will make a great difference,” Adv Shreedharan added.
