PANJIM: Aayushi Sahu from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bambolim has topped CBSE 10th Board examination for Goa with a score of 98.6 per cent. With 100 per cent marks in mathematics, the girl is planning to be an IAS officer.
Aayushi has scored 493 out of 500 with 100 in mathematics, 99 in social studies and 98 each in Hindi, English and Science.
Overwhelmed with the news, Aayushi‘s mother said that her daughter is a very hard working girl and always loves to study. “Besides, studying she also enjoyed sport and other curriculum activities in school,” she said.
Originally hailing from Jaunpur city in Uttar Pradesh, Aayushi along with her parents- Pavan and Preeti shifted to Goa in 2011. The family runs a garment shop in Merces, where they are currently residing.
Her mother adds that Aayushi always talks about becoming an IAS officer and to achieve that she has been preparing from now itself. “We are very proud of her achievement and cannot believe that she has topped in Goa,” she said.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bambolim has scored 100 per cent result with all 53 students clearing it.
Shreyashi Mukherjee with 97.6 per cent marks from Kendriya Vidayalay (1), Vasco ranks second in Goa with total marks of 488 out of 500.
She has scored 99 in Science and Hindi and 98 marks in mathematics and social science.
The school with 100 percent pass percentage has three students scoring above 97 percent, 12 students with score of over 95 per cent and 26 students have got 90 per cent and above.
Valpoi based Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya also performed well with 62 out of 63 students clearing the CBSE board examination. Sanchit Ghadi topped in the school with 92 per cent marks, followed by Pooja Parab with 90.40 per cent and Prathamesh Jambotkar with 90.20 per cent.
