MARGAO: Maina Curtorim police have succeeded in nabbing 25-year-old Eppiel Danwar for the murder of Caju in Nuvem on May 22. It may be recalled that the body of Caju, with his throat slit, was found five minutes past midnight on May 22, close to the place where he lived.
Police had detained six persons with whom Caju lived, in the housing provided by the contractor and identified the killer, who fled Goa after committing the crime. Maina Curtorim police, led by PSI Tejas Naik, went to Jharkhand thrice and on the third attempt nabbed the accused at Kolibara market with the help of local police.
The PSI was accompanied by constables Raviraj Naik and Chetan Kohli, arrested and brought the accused to Goa after completing the formalities in Jharkhand. Danwar has been remanded in police custody.
