MAPUSA: Jivan Mahale, a youth from Thane, was attacked with acid like liquid on first the New Year day at Mandrem. The 21-year-old youth had arrived in Goa for the New Year celebration and was on his way to his relatives’ place at Mandrem when two unknown motorcycle-borne assailants threw acid like liquid on him at Askawadsa causing minor injuries to his face and body. Jivan was taken to Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim where he was discharged after treatment.
Pernem police have registered case against unknown persons.
