MARGAO: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai has warned of action against the people who are using Social Media, Facebook specifically to spread wrong info and false news against the works under taken with the consent of the people of Fatorda. The TCP Minister Vijai Sardessai spoke after he inaugurated the works for 5th Feeder (areas Dongorwaddo, near Rosary Church, Chandrawaddo, Guplem, Main Road).
The work will be carried out at a total cost of approximately Rs 25 cr for conversion of overhead electricity cables. This work is aimed at making entire Fatorda constituency equipped with underground Electrical cable network.
The contractor, who has won the tender for the work of Pravas Naik, said the 11KVA and the low tension line work will start immediately and will be completed by April 15. “We expect all the works to complete by 2019,” said Pravas.
Chairperson of MMC Babita Angle said that all the assurances given during election have been abided and will be completed, “I congratulate the TCP Minister” she added.
The TCP minister has spelled a long list of anticipated and planned development of Fatorda and further said, “All the development that happens in Fatorda is with consent of the people. However, we won’t hesitate to take action if someone is against the development with consent of the people”, Vijai said.
“Don’t put fake news on social media and FB. It is a parallel business to create fake news and it is aimed to stop works planned for Fatorda,” said Vijai.
