Agri dept to hold meetings with taluka farmers

To formulate agriculture policy; seek suggestions from ryots, farmers groups, elected representatives and the general public for formation of Draft Agriculture Policy for the State

PANJIM: The Directorate of Agriculture will hold meetings in every taluka beginning from October 17 in Dharbandora, to get feedback/suggestions from farmers, farmers groups, farmer’s societies, elected representatives and the general public for the formation of Agriculture Policy for the State.

In Dharbandora Taluka the meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17 at Zonal Agriculture Office Dharbandora at 10 am; Mormugao Taluka on October 18 in the premises of Zonal Agriculture Office Mormugao at 11 am; Valpoi Taluka on October 19 at 2.30 pm in the office of Zonal Agriculture Officer at Valpoi; Ponda Taluka on October 19 at 10 am in the premises of Ponda Market Yard at Block ‘D’; Canacona Taluka on October 19 at 10:30 am at the Mamlatdar Conference Hall, Government Complex Building, Chaudi-Canacona; Bicholim Taluka meeting will be held on October 20 at 10.30 am in the Conference Hall of Zonal Agriculture Office Bicholim; Tiswadi Taluka on October 20 at 2.30 pm in the Azossim-Mandur Panchayat Hall and Bardez Taluka on October 20 at 3 pm in the Conference hall of Zonal Agriculture Office, Mapusa.

Similarly in Quepem Taluka, the meeting will be held on October 26, at 10 am at the Quepem Municipal hall and in Sanguem Taluka, the meeting is arranged on October 26 at 10 am at the Sanguem Municipal Hall.

Further, in Salcete Taluka, the meeting will be held on October 27 at  10 am at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (South), Margao and in Pernem Taluka, the meeting will be held on October 30 at 10 am at Zonal Agriculture Office, Pernem.

All the concerned are requested to attend the meeting and give their suggestions/ inputs for incorporating in the   Agriculture policy for the State of Goa.
