PANJIM: The All India Minority Forum has decided to contest all 40 seats in the state and is the process of finalising candidates.

Announcing their decision, National President S M Asif said the party promises a corruption free Goa on the lines of one envisaged by Anna Hazare.

“We are contesting all 40 constituencies against corruption and against mining mafia, to bring a corruption free Goa,” Asif said.

“The last time we had supported the Save Goa Front floated by Churchill but Churchill has betrayed us. This time we are going on our own,” Asif informed.

He hit out at both Congress and BJP for what he termed was the rampant corruption in administration and the mining sector.

“People think that in Goa there is no corruption, but in reality Goa is one place where most of the money flows,” Asif said adding that he would field only clean candidates in the state.

When asked if his candidates were finalised, he said he was in the process and though he had a list of candidates they were yet to be finalised.
