VASCO: The Dabolim airport will remain closed from 5 pm to 7 pm till July 23 as the Navy is carrying out a topographical survey of the runway prior to commencement of its repairs.
“Dabolim airport caters to extensive civil and military air traffic throughout the year. To obviate frequent closure of runway for temporary repairs or Foreign Object Damage to any aircraft, a complete resurfacing of runway is planned in near future. A precise topographical survey is a mandatory requirement prior to undertaking such major repairs.
