In Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district, a horrific incident unfolded as a man, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, brutally attacked his wife during an altercation. The 55-year-old assailant, identified as Suresh from the Belthangady area, reportedly bit off his wife’s eyes and cheeks, causing severe injuries that led to her hospitalization.
The disturbing incident occurred on Monday night when an argument between Suresh and his wife escalated into a violent assault. Using his hands and a helmet, Suresh attacked his wife, causing significant bleeding injuries. Disturbingly, he also assaulted their daughter when she attempted to intervene and help her mother, forcing the terrified girl to flee from the house. Discovered unconscious the next morning, the critically injured woman and her daughter are currently receiving medical treatment. Authorities have registered a case against Suresh, charging him with offenses such as voluntarily causing grievous hurt, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
