PANJIM: North Goa Collectorate is all set for the counting process of March 11 which will commence in the morning at 8am. Addressing reporters in Panjim additional collector North Goa Sabaji Shetye said all the security and counting arrangements are in place on the counting day. He informed that the counting at Bal Bhavan, Panjim will start at 8am and may culminate around noon. Total 19 constituencies of the North Goa will have counting in Panjim whereas rest 21 would be in South Goa.
He said multi-layered security arrangements inside and outside the halls have been arranged. There would be 10 different counting halls, each hall will be taking up counting of two assembly constituencies.
He informed that the postal ballots would be counted first and EVMs would be taken up at 08.30am. Each table in each hall would be supervised by the counting supervisor, observer and micro observer, Shetye said.
He mentioned that micro observer would be a gazetted officer on each table. Collector held an all-party meeting in the evening on Tuesday briefing the security counting process to all the party leaders and its office bearers.
