MAPUSA: Concerns have been raised regarding the state of ambulances at North Goa District Hospital, Mapusa. Activists have alleged that four of these ambulances, which are crucial in ferrying the sick and injured, are currently left in a state of disrepair.
Moreover, two more of the North Goa District Hospital ambulances are reportedly parked behind the hospital’s parking zone and have been left idle.
Voicing their apprehensions about this situation, the activists claimed that the condition of these vehicles is very bad. The particular concern is the alleged practice of using 108 ambulances to transport patients from the North Goa District Hospital to Goa Medical College (GMC), despite the North Goa District hospital having its own ambulances at its disposal.
Activists have demanded prompt intervention by government authorities to remedy the situation for more effective functioning of the healthcare services in North Goa.
These concerns have prompted a demand for immediate solutions to address the situation. Ensuring that these ambulances are in operational condition is crucial for the timely and efficient transfer of patients.
