PANJIM: The Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC) of Goa Police conducted back to back narcotic raids within a span of few hours and arrested two youths allegedly with drugs worth Rs 7 seven lakh.
In the first raid, the ANC arrested one Dinesh alias Melvin Dandekar, resident of Vale Waddo, Assagao, for allegedly being in possession of 600 grams of charas, 2 kgs of ganja, all worth Rs 5 lakh.

During the raid, the ANC sleuths also found in his possession a pistol magazine along with 7 live rounds i.e. 9mm bullets. The accused is also being simultaneously booked under the Arms act for possession of the ammunition by Anjuna Police, police said.
Dinesh alias Melvin Dandekar was earlier arrested by the ANC in the 2016 for his involvement in the narcotic trade and was recently released from judicial custody.
In the second case, the ANC sleuths nabbed Nihal Patil, from Honda, Sattari, for allegedly being in possession of two kgs of ganja worth Rs 2 lakh.
Both the raids were conducted simultaneously under the supervision of PI ANC Sajith Pillai under the guidance and leadership of DySP ANC Nerlon Albuquerque and SP ANC Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
