PANJIM: Police probing the murder of real estate agent Hasan Khan have arrested a seventh person for his alleged involvement.
Aniket Deepak Yallukar (20), whose identity was kept a secret by the police till Monday, was officially arrested Tuesday. Aniket is said to have sourced four killers from Belgaum, all of who were arrested on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday.
The six persons already arrested are~suspended draftsman of Mines and Geology Department Robert Gonsalves, his business partner Raj Patel, and Maruti Bhui (23), Arun Patil (19), Ravi Patil (26) and Shivaji Patil (23), who allegedly eliminated Khan.
Khan’s cadaver with stab wounds was found in his Honda City car near at Bambolim on Friday. Police were able to crack this case within three days.
Aniket, who is reportedly close to Raj, is a resident of Betim. Police said now they are making efforts to recover the weapons used in the murder.
